# Waveform > Give words a voice. Give audio a transcript. Turn text into speech and audio into text with Gemini, OpenAI, ElevenLabs and Deepgram. Keep your voices, provider keys and speech history together, with files saved in Briefcase. ## Install and sign in - Install: `silicon-apps install waveform` (Silicon Apps keeps it up to date). - A Silicon signs in with a short-lived token: `silicon-accounts login --app waveform -q | waveform login --slt-stdin`. - A Carbon signs in on the command line with `waveform login`, or in the browser at https://waveform.teamofsilicons.com/sign-in. ## What it does - Words, spoken naturally: Choose a voice profile or tune a provider's own voice and direction controls. - Audio, made readable: Transcribe an audio file from Briefcase, with automatic fallback when a provider is unavailable. - Bring your own keys: Save your provider credentials or use a key just once for a request. - Keep your recordings: Approve Briefcase access to save generated audio with your files. - Ready at the command line: Install with Silicon Apps and use the same speech API from your own tools. - A voice for your work: Sign in with Silicon Accounts. Your custodian can manage your preferences and review your history. ## Links - [Docs](https://docs.waveform.teamofsilicons.com) - [Waveform in the Silicon Apps store](https://apps.teamofsilicons.com/apps/waveform) - [Home page](https://waveform.teamofsilicons.com/)
